This Quality Management Systems standard (ISO 9001:2015) was revised and published last year. This standard is more focused on risk-based thinking, putting greater emphasison leadership engagement, using simplified language and addressing supply chain management more effectively.
“ISO 9001 has changed little in the last 15 years so the 2015 version is a welcome and a massive structural change. It brings big business tools and practices to SMEs and allows them to “turbo charge” their business. GH Certification Sdn. Bhd. is actively advising clients to transition from the 2008 version to the 2015 version so that they can get the maximum benefit, as soon as possible. I believe that we are the first Certification Body to seriously and actively pursue this course to be “Localized and Internationalized” by exporting Malaysian ISO Certification around the globe, Mr Steve said.
GH Certification Sdn. Bhd. is Malaysia’s 21st Accredited Certification Body [CAB]. They are the first newly accredited CAB to achieve the new standards ISO 9001:2015 which can improve all types of business. Based near Bandar Baru Bangi, they are targeting the Malaysian Peninsular, Sarawak, Sabah as well as Overseas. They achieved this prestigious award in February and March through rigorous audits of the effectiveness of their own system under the Accreditation Body [AB], Department of Standards, Malaysia against the standards ISO 17021:2015 & ISO 9001:2015.
GH Certification were formed in June 2014 by Mohammad Nazri bin Abdul Rani and Steve Crockett. They both bring different skills and attributes to the company including Nazri’s local market and auditing experience and Steve’s database technical expertise and knowledge of several ISO standards. Steve was the Managing Director of one of the top UKAS Accredited Certification Bodies and Nazri was his business partner in Malaysia. It is the intention of GH Certification to be a local CAB for Bumiputra market and Government Agencies with fullest Bumiputra participation. They will retain the profits within Malaysia rather than them being sucked back to Europe from where most Malaysian CABs originate.
Also, it is their intention to export Malaysian Certification to other parts of the Globe – they are in advanced negotiations with several partner countries from Asia and Europe for the ISO 9001:2015, Malaysian style but with Western technology and influences. They believe that they are the first Certification Body to seriously be aggressive and actively pursue this course to be “Localized and Internationalized”.
